WHO WE ARE

Don Bosco is known for its dedicated service predominantly in the field of education and empowerment. Through its numerous humanitarian services such as formal, non formal and technical education, skill development, micro credit and income generation programs, career guidance and job placement services, eco concern initiatives, the organization is striving to attain its objective for a greater level in its endeavor and it has reached out millions of poor children, youth and rural women in 132 countries in the world.

The Sivakasi Don Bosco Society is a non profitable organization registered under the section 10 of the Tamil Nadu Society Registration Act 1975 on 8th October 2004. The society is also registered under Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act 2015. Being a unit of Don Bosco charitable organization, it has drawn the inspiration from its founder and designs all its activities to the well being of its target populations in the operational area.

HISTORY

Earlier the mission was under the Arch Diocese of Madurai. In the year 1993 the mission was handed over to the Salesian in perpetuity. After taking the mission, the Salesians toiled very much and enormous work had been done to develop the mission and for the empowerment of the people in the mission.
