On September 1, 2024, Don Bosco Vidivelli organized a transformative event aimed at empowering women through entrepreneurial education and practical support. The “Entrepreneurship and Development Training” was led by distinguished resource persons from CAUVERI: Fr. Ashok SDB, Director of the CAUVERI Development and Planning Office in Trichy, Mrs. Esther, Project Coordinator, and Mr. Jones, Project Manager. Their expertise provided 250 women with essential knowledge in business planning, financial management, and market strategies.
The event also featured the distribution of micro credit and sewing machines to 25 women, offering crucial support for their entrepreneurial ventures. The micro credit aimed to provide financial flexibility for starting or expanding businesses, while the sewing machines were intended to facilitate garment-making, a popular and profitable venture.
This impactful program was generously supported by the Desai Foundation Trust, SPS India Foundation, and Colourful Children Foundation. Their contributions were instrumental in making the training and resource distribution possible, further enhancing the reach and effectiveness of the initiative.
Overall, the event was a resounding success, highlighting the power of combining educational training with practical support. Through this collaboration, Don Bosco Vidivelli and its partners have laid a solid foundation for the economic empowerment of women, fostering sustainable growth and positive community impact.
