A Day of Celebration and Empowerment
Don Bosco Vidivelli – Alangulam hosted a spectacular Women’s Day celebration on march 08, 2025 with around 250 women coming together to commemorate the occasion.
Health and Wellness First
The event started with a much-needed medical camp, featuring eye and general health checkups to ensure the well-being of the attendees.
Inspirational Guests
The celebrations were honored by the presence of Dr. Keerthana, a dedicated dentist, and Ms. Krithiga, Project Coordinator at DFT, who shared their insights and words of encouragement.
Fun and Games
To kick off the festivities, engaging games were organized, with winners receiving exciting prizes.
Cultural Showcase
The cultural program featured vibrant performances, highlighting the artistic talents and cultural heritage of the participants.
Skill Empowerment
Certificates were awarded to 30 women who successfully completed the sewing skill training program supported by the DESAI Foundation Trust and implemented by SPS india Foundation, providing them with essential vocational skills.
Entrepreneurial Support
10 Aspiring women entrepreneurs received microcredit, supported by Colourful Children Foundation and implemented by the trichy don bosco society to help them kickstart their business ventures and achieve financial independence.
